13 Portland Thorns FC Players Called Up for International Duty

PORTLAND,Ore. (October 30, 2025) – Portland Thorns FC had 13 players called up to represent their countries during the summer 2025 FIFA Women’s International Window, contributing to game-changing moments across the globe and strengthening their development alongside national teammates.

Australia earned a pair of competitive results, with defender Kaitlyn Torpey featuring in a 2-1 win against Wales in Cardiff. Goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold made several strong saves for Australia in their 3-0 loss toEngland at Pride Park Stadium, standing out despite the result going against her side.

For Canada, captain Jessie Fleming and forward Mimi Alidou took part in two tightly contested friendlies, facing Switzerland in Lucerne and the Netherlands in Nijmegen as part of their European tour.

Danish defender Isabella Obaze joined Denmark for UEFA Nations League play, as the Danes recorded back-to-back wins over Finland to maintain their position in League A. Defender Laila Harbert continued to gain valuable experience with the England U23s, featuring in matches against Germany and Portugal.

In South America, captain Deyna Castellanos helped lead Venezuela through a successful international window, drawing 0-0 with Chile before guiding her side to a 2-1 victory over Paraguay. Midfielder Valerin Loboa and Colombia also impressed, defeating Peru 4-1 in Medellin and Ecuador 2-1 in Quito.

Defender Reyna Reyes and Mexico posted consecutive shutout wins over New Zealand, earning a 1-0 result in Mexico City followed by a 2-0 victory in Juárez to close out their October friendlies.

For the United States, midfielders Sam Coffey and Olivia Moultrie both contributed to the USWNT’s performances against Portugal, combining for three goals in a 3-1 victory in East Hartford after opening the window with a narrow 2-1 defeat in Chester, PA. Coffey would also make an appearance for the USWNT in their 6-0 win vs New Zealand at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City.

Additionally, Jayden Perry and Pietra Tordin joined the U.S.U-23 National Team for a training camp held outside of Philadelphia, continuing their growth within the national team system.
