PORTLAND, Ore. (August 14, 2026) – The Portland Thorns announced today that it has removed forward Caiya Hanks from the season-ending injury list and that she will be available for selection ahead of Portland’s next match against Orlando Pride on Saturday, August 15 at Providence Park. Before her injury last June, the 21-year-old came out flying in her rookie season, scoring twice and providing an assist while also adding speed and fluidity to establish herself as a consistent starter in Portland’s offense (starting in seven of her 11 NWSL appearances).
Hanks now returns to the pitch ready to contribute following a year-long rehabilitation process with extensive support provided to her by Portland’s medical, performance and technical staff.
