Alvarado comes to Portland after just one full season in Houston where she served as backup to the 2023 Goalkeeper of the Year, Jane Campbell. While she did not make her National Women’s Soccer League debut, she did appear in two matches during the 2023 Challenge Cup, during which she made seven combined saves against Racing Louisville and Kansas City Current.

Prior to joining the NWSL, Alvarado played two seasons in France with Stade de Reims where she earned 39 out of a possible 40 starts, contributing to nine clean sheets while making more than 150 saves.

Alvarado made her senior Mexico National Team debut on May 26, 2019 against the United States. Since then, Alvarado has appeared in 12 additional matches for Mexico. Before advancing to the senior level, Alvarado won the 2013 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship and the 2018 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship where she was awarded the Golden Glove.
